Automated Personalization
Frequently Asked Questions
Twik is an automated UX personalization engine capable of understanding your site structure, goals and user profiles, and utilize this data to serve each of your users with a personalized experience whilst measuring the affect and revenue increase
After adding the app to your store, twik will scan it and look for potential automations (ie. reorganization of products, categories and menu items). The detected automations will enable you to create personalized experiences for your site visitors for the detected features. At first, twik will only target 50% of your eligible store visitors, and as it learns what automations increase sales to which user segments, it'll gradually balance the delivery (more or less than 50%) to maximize your sales and revenue.
Twik visitors are ones who've seen a custom-tailored (personalized) version of your store, depending on their profile, browsed content and what similar users purchased. Control visits are 'twik-eligible] session who weren't targeted so the platform could measure the difference between them, and twik visits. 'Other' visits are non-eligible users (ones that haven't been exposed to a store feature that twik can personalize) or eligible-non-targeted users.
To remove all traces of Twik please follow the next steps:(1) In the twik app Settings tab choose de-activate twik snippet button; (2) Uninstall the app.

First, we need to understand how twik measures its success. We don't compare a period of time vs. A previous period. When twik starts running it operates on partial store visitors (AKA twik) and leaves the other as Control (a segment of visitors that are used to compare twik success to the original site). Other means store traffic that is not twik (targeted personalization) and not Control (the original website) but other pages and visitors that are not detected as relevant to twik personalization process.

No. Only the Preview link in the Automations tab will work 100% of the times. Twik doesn’t work on all the traffic the store has and always keeps a Control group to measure its success based on it. That's the reason your visitors will sometimes see twik in action and sometimes won't.
